DBC PACKAGING (Pty) Ltd (formerly Durban Bag Company) was registered on the 1st April 2001, following its acquisition by a consortium of former Durban Bag executives, headed by Keith Parkinson.
DBC PACKAGING currently operates two distinct plastic packaging entities serving South Africa and surrounding territories:
- DBC Wovens (Pty) Ltd – a wholly owned subsidiary company, manufacturing and supplying a wide range of printed woven polypropylene bags (PP).
- DBC Plastics – an operating Division of DBC PACKAGING (Pty) Ltd, manufacturing and supplying printed polyethylene bags, pouches and FFS sheeting (PE).
DBC PACKAGING and its subsidiary, DBC Wovens are both independent and privately owned.
Fikza Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a BEE investment company headed by Mrs Thuthukile Skweyiya, has a 26% shareholding.
